This is the fastest path to a working bot you can share with recruiters. No coding, no setup - just sign up and build.
Want the chat served inside your own web app instead? You can self-host your bot by installing the probot-self-hosted npm package - see Self-hosting your bot.

What you’ll need

A resume PDF works best. You can also paste your bio, LinkedIn summary, or project notes as text.
ProBot is bring-your-own-key. Grab a key from one provider: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Google Gemini. A “mini” or a “flash” model is plenty and costs pennies. See Models & keys.Your key stays encrypted and is never logged.

Build your bot

Watch a one-minute live demo or follow along with the steps below!
1

Create an account

Sign up at pro-bot.dev/register with a username, email, and password (or use Google / GitHub).
2

Open the Bot Factory

From your dashboard, start a new bot. The wizard walks you through five short steps.
3

Add your knowledge

Upload your resume PDF and/or paste text. ProBot indexes it so the bot answers only from what you provide - no made-up jobs.
4

Pick a personality and theme

Choose a tone, a theme color, and (optionally) an avatar. A live preview updates as you go.
5

Connect your model and key

Pick your provider + model and paste your API key. Then create the bot.
For a detailed tour of each step, see Build your bot.

Go live and share

Your new bot starts as a draft with a private preview URL so you can test it. When you’re happy:
  1. Open the bot and flip its status to live (it saves instantly).
  2. Share your public chat link: pro-bot.dev/u/<your-username>/chat.
  3. Or drop the one-line embed widget onto your portfolio. See Embed & share.

Then what?

As recruiters chat, ProBot captures their details (name, email, company) and shows your conversations, leads, and live analytics in the dashboard.
